University of Cincinnati defense end Angelo Craig (Cleveland, OH/Glenville) and safety Haruki Nakamura (Elyria, OH/St. Edward) were both chosen on Day Two of the 2008 National Football League Draft. Craig's name was called with the 37th choice of the seventh round by the Cincinnati Bengals, while Nakamura was the 40th pick of the sixth round on Sunday.

The Black squad stormed back to defeat the Red, 23-14, in a contest that was aired statewide on Ohio News Network.

Following the early morning earthquake in Southwest Indiana that brought shockwaves through the Queen City, the University of Cincinnati football team rattled windows around campus during practice No. 11 of 15 in another day of perfect conditions in Nippert Stadium. There were no aftereffects felt, but the Richter Scale peaked around the contact in the trenches between the linemen on the final Friday practice of the 2008 spring drills.
