Bearcats Football Ranked No. 22 by SI.com Exiting Spring Practice

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati football team was ranked No. 22 by Sports Illustrated college football columnist Stewart Mandel in his final power rankings after the conclusion of Spring Practice. Mandel lists the Bearcats as his second-highest ranked team from the BIG EAST Conference, trailing West Virginia who was listed No. 14. To read Mandel's complete poll, click here. UC returns 16 starters and 44 letterwinners from the 2007 squad that proved to be one of the most successful in the history of UC football. Cincinnati earned its first appearance in the final Associated Press Poll finishing the year at No. 17 after winning 10 games for the first time since 1951 and capping the year with a 31-21 victory in the Papajohns.com Bowl.
